A candidate for parliament, representing the ‘Monster Raving Loony Party’, auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent yesterday just hours after losing a by-election, it has been reported. According to The Sun, Nick “The Flying Brick” Delves performed in Manchester yesterday – but did he do any better with the judges then in the by-election?
Auditioning as part of the ‘Hot Pots Theatre’ song and dance group, Delves faced judges Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and – for only his second time at the auditions – David Hasselhoff. The wacky candidate achieved just 0.4 per cent of the vote at the Oldham East and Saddleworth by-election according to the paper, however the ‘Got Talent’ judges seemed to be impressed by the 45-year-old.
An insider told The Sun: “The Flying Brick did a fair bit better on our show than he did in the poll. He won over the judges and the Hoff seemed to take a shine to him.
“He fitted right in at the auditions considering the other loonies there.”
Another act who impressed judges in Manchester this week was a Yorkshire terrier going by the name of Sophie. The petite pooch was trained by magician Ian Brown to help out during his audition yesterday.
